  • D2: Diagnostic fields of the CLM climate output data (near surface fields, constant or only slowly varying fields, soil fields, fields of pressure levels) without the sponge zone are built in monthly time series on a rotated grid with 0.165° spatial resolution.
  • D3: Selected data from D2 projected onto a regular geographical grid with a spacing of 0.2°. The transformation from D2 to D3 has been performed with either bilinear interpolation or via the nearest neighbor method where necessary. None of the D3 parameters have been corrected because of topographical differences between the two grids which are due to interpolation. A subset of (derived) model parameters is evaluated statistically on a daily, monthly, or yearly basis.
